Q. I have a 600$ budget but I don't know which one to choose and I like both. I'm interested in making films and movies, but I wanted to know if the ipad 4 has good video shooting (it has to be 1080p) so I can get it instead of a 1080p full hd camcorder for more fun. Any opinions??
A. Ipad 4 can shoot 1080p videos, but I recommend a hd camcorder for these reasons:
1. for the expandable media/storage. Ipad has a fix amount of memory and you'll have to download video ofter - especially if you'll be shooting lots of videos.
2. for additional features: steadycam, zoom lens, ability to use external mic (not all camcorders can use external mics).
Better Choice: iPad or Laptop?
Q. I have 500 dollars store credit at best buy. I own a windows 7 desktop at home and a 500 gb external hard drive. The iPad is $500 and the laptop i'm considering is a $550 dell inspiron(I can pay the extra 50). If I own a desktop already would an iPad or a Laptop be a better choice?
BTW storage isn't much of an issue since i own a 500 gb external hard drive.
A. Lap top if you sit still, iPad if on the move
Laptop if storage capacity is necessary, ipad if you would rather stream audio video material anywhere you go
Laptop if you prefer the keyboard, iPad if you prefer the screen
Laptop if you want the most amount of computing capabilities, iPad if Apps are your thing
Laptop if you need it, iPad if you want it.

A. Nope, iPad's don't support expanded memory or external hard drives, so connecting an external hard drive will not work. There is the option of cloud-based/online storage solutions that work well with an iPad, are reliable and secure and there are a few free options available, such as Dropbox as well as subscription based services such as iCloud
