Q. I am going to add as much detail as possible as to what I want so you can easily suggest a phone for me.
As Christmas approaches, I am tired of my samsung c3520 and want a change, so I have decided after scouring amazon for good phones and coming up with nothing except the nokia c6-01 which I really liked until I read the confusing reviews.. that I want to buy a phone.
If nobody can help me I'll get the c6-01, but I really need your help guys.
I'm not a flashy large iPhone/Samsung Galaxy/HTC loving person, I just want a simple phone. These are the only requirements I will ever have.
- Long lasting battery (most Nokia and samsung have this, i've witnessed myself)
- Can take micro USB ( I want to upgrade from the 1 GB I have now to like 16 because I want to have a lot of songs and pictures) I LOVE music its the main thing i use phones for, and 16 GB would be amazing because id get to store like .. I can't even start imagining
- Decent Camera .. 5MP is perfectly fine
- Also a phone I could probably download apps unto, like my current samsung flipphone theres this website I go to and I pick what phone i have then find eBooks for it, its really great and I want a phone that can support this type of thing.
I really hope somebody can help me, because its so stressful being unable to pick something! I wish I don't read reviews for some phones I get an interest in because it discourages me. Or should I go to a phone shop instead?
I'm also considering either the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic or the Nokia n900
A. Apart from price, I can't imagine why you'd want something like the Nokia C6-01. It runs an outdated operating system (Symbian) and has a tiny, low-res screen. A phone that can do everything you've mentioned above would be pretty much any Samsung phone in their Galaxy line running Android. If you're concerned about price, then something along the lines of the Samsung Galaxy Rugby Pro might be the ticket for you:

http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones/SGH-I547ZKAATT
It runs Android Jelly Bean, an up-to-date operating system, has a decent 5MP camera, and has a microSD card slot (I think that's what you meant when you said micro USB) for expansion up to 32GB (that's a long of songs and pictures!), and it's even "ruggedized" for outdoor use. It's also fairly compact, with a 4" display. It's just $29.99 on contract with AT&T.
Also, instead of downloading apps "from some website," you'll have the full Google Play store at your disposal, which has thousands of free apps to do just about anything you can imagine. E-books? Go to the Play store and download the Amazon Kindle app for free. Need recipe ideas? Go to the Play store and get the Allrecipes free app. There are too many to list. :-)
If you're not with AT&T, let me know which carrier you're on, and I'll try to find a similar or otherwise suitable phone on that carrier.
UPDATE: The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic and the Nokia N900 are both four years old. You'd be very unlikely to find them, unless you got them used. Why on earth would you even consider such old technology?
Seriously, let me know what carrier you're on and I'll find you a simple, practical, and inexpensive yet actually modern phone that has all the features you're looking for. :-)
I had 2 gigs of space left on galaxy rugby pro. After putting only like 20 songs on I have 160 mbs??!!?
Q. I dont know what happened. I was on samsung keys, added about 20 songs to the library, then I synced my phone. Now I dont even have enough internal storage space to view my pictures. What the heck happened?

How do I stop apps from automatically attaching themselves to my homepage when downloaded?
Q. I just purchased a Samsung Galaxy rugby pro and whenever I download a new app, it automatically creates a shortcut to it on my homepage. how can I stop this from happening?
A. You can't, it's just the way it works. Once downloaded you can move the App where you want.
