Q. I have been looking at reviews for the Samsung Galaxy Prevail from Boost Mobile because I am in search of a new phone. Most of the reviews are really good or really bad. I'm mostly looking for a music player, a good texting device (i love the swipe keyboard), and I love being on twitter. Battery life really doesn't matter much to me. I want to know your experience with the phone. I hear it gives bad reception in places and good reception in places such as Brooklyn. I have never had reception problems with me living in Tennessee fom my company Boost Mobile. Any pros and cons would be very helpful. Thank you.
A. It's a decent phone. As to the coverage, it's all depends on where you live. Boost is own by Sprint therefore uses Sprint network. I live in Oregon and I have no problem with the coverage/reception. Altho, the sound quality when talking on it isn't all that great but it works for me.
I've post an answer regarding the Boost Mobile if you care to read:

Hope this helps. Good luck!
iPhone 5 or Samsung Galaxy S2 Boost Mobile?
Q. I can't make up my mind on which one to get. Which one is better?
A. Power and speed goes to iPhone 5 in this match up, however the screen on the S2 is nicer. If you are talking about the S2 only then it is the iphone 5 hands down. If it is the skyrocket its a harder choice. I would base it on your familiarity with the operating systems and your need for customization.
If you need easy lean towards the 5, if you are techy lean to the galaxy.
Samsung Intercept(Virgin Mobile) or Samsung Galaxy Prevail(Boost)?
Q. I have done a lot of research on both of these phones and i have read good things and bad things about both of them.
However,
When the Intercept was on Android 2.1 firmware there were non stop problems with it. But now that its update came threw to Android 2.2 is it supposed to be working better? I like the slide out QWERTY keyboard on the intercept a lot and that could be my deciding factor on what to choose.
But on the Prevail is have to Swype to text keyboard. I text message a lot more than the average person. Does the Swype keyboard just take some getting used to?
Overall i like both phone a lot. But both have there flaws. Is the Prevail to small to speed text with? Is the intercept to slow and slugish to deal with?
Whats a better choice overall and why?
Thanks!!
A. Definitely go with the Samsung Intercept, the Galaxy Prevail is the the same phone only without a keyboard. The Prevail has Android 2.2's hotspot features disabled, which is something you can still use on the Intercept. And the Intercept has a 3.2 megapixel camera compared to the 2 megapixel camera on the Prevail. The only true advantage to the Prevail is that it's screen is a little larger.
