Q. I can't decide which one to buy. I've been an Android user for a long time so I don't really want more of the same with s 3.
A. iPhone 5 vs Samsung Galaxy S3 - Design, Screen and Power
Design
iPhone 5 - 7.6mm thick, metal casing, non-removable battery
Samsung Galaxy S3 - 8.6mm thick, plastic casing, removable battery
Apple has taken aggressive measures to make the iPhone 5 as thin as possible. The rear layer of glass has gone, the phone uses a teeny nano-SIM and the screen technology merges its constituent layers to squish everything down as far as possible. As a result it's just 7.6mm thick, a full millimetre less than the Samsung Galaxy S3 - which is 8.6mm thick.
Screen
iPhone 5 - 4in IPS, 1,136 x 640 resolution
Samsung Galaxy S3 - 4.8in Super AMOLED, 1,280 x 720 resolution
Every generation of iPhone since the original of the species back in 2007 has uses the same size screen - 3.5in. That has all changed with the iPhone 5. It now has a widescreen 4in display of 1,136 x 640 pixels.
Power
iPhone 5 - 1GB RAM, A6 processor, power TBC
Samsung Galaxy S3 - 1GB RAM, Exynos 4412, Quad-core 1.4GHz
One area where the Samsung Galaxy S3 might beat the next iPhone is its processor's figures. The Samsung Galaxy S3 uses the impressive Exynos 4412 chip, which has four cores and runs at 1.4GHz.
Connectivity
iPhone 5 - new proprietary 8-pin connector, no microSD, microSIM
Samsung Galaxy S3 - microUSB, microSD, microSIM
Perhaps the most earth-shattering change in the iPhone 5 is that it rejects the 30-pin connector used across iPods, iPads and iPhones in favour of a much-smaller 8-pin model. This is comparable in size to the microUSB standard, although it's not exactly the same as microUSB. Apple is never keen on going with the bog-standard option when it can make its own version.
Cameras
iPhone 5 - 8MP, LED flash
Samsung Galaxy S3 - 8MP, LED flash
Although many elements of the iPhone 5 have been improved hugely over its predecessor, the camera has only been given a slight upgrade. It's still an 8-megapixel sensor, and it still uses a pretty standard LED flash. Its aperture is f/2.4 and it uses a five-element lens. Like the iPhone 4S, the sensor offers backside illumination.
Battery
iPhone 5 - up to 8 hours talk time
Samsung Galaxy S3 - 2100mAh
In typical Apple style, the exact technical specs of the iPhone 5 battery, in terms of mAh capacity, have not been revealed. Instead, Apple has told us about how long it'll last for in real-world terms. It will handle eight hours of talk time, or a whopping 40 hours of audio.
Also, like previous iPhones you can't swap out the battery on the iPhone 5, so if you're caught short without power you're done for... well, your phone is anyway.
Verdict
More than is often the case, the battle between the iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S3 is the very definition of the case between iOS and Android, between Apple and Google. The Samsung Galaxy S3 is more flexible, with expandable memory and a more malleable OS. However, the metal body of Apple's phone feels a lot more premium, and is a much friendlier design for those with less than giant hands. And with the larger 4in screen, it won't feel quite so tiny next to the Samsung Galaxy S3, either.
What phone should I get and why? iPhone 5s or the new galaxy note 3?
Q. Hi guys. I have an iPhone 4. I updated the version for the new iPhone on it and it is super slow now! I have an upgrade available and my husband is telling that the galaxy note 3 is great. Please help me choose and tell me why I should get any phone?
-thanks!
A. Samsung Galaxy Note 3, hands down.
I have to admit I can be a little biast at times but I'll keep this as fair as possible.
I would, most definitely, recommend the Galaxy Note 3 over the iPhone 5S. It's just simply a more superior phone. Being an android phone, you won't get bored of it, thanks to the customizations. Many people say you don't get joy out of the customization. That is not true as if you you navigate and search your way around more efficiently, you'll get joy out of that.
Have you ever seen an iOS user who has a lockscreen that doesn't look like the default one? Have you seen an iPhone user whose keyboard looks different to anyone else? Probably not. And you definitely never seen an Apple user who has a different operating system installed.
This is not the case with Android phones.
You see people with many ROMS and OS installed on the phone: stock, cyanogenmod, ubuntu, even windows! Anyone can easily change the look and input of keyboards, lockscreens, etc. There are many modifications out there, coded by expert which you can easily install on your phone. These modifications include lag-free OS, faster speed, faster boot, etc.
All these nice features are not available on the iPhone 5S. Apple services are known to be daft and not very user-friendly. The Note 3 runs Android 4.2.2, a Google software so it will naturally come with amazing and user-friendly services such as Google Translate, Google Maps and all those stuff.
You also don't have to root an Android phone to install third-party programs whereas on apple, you will need to jailbreak your phone (very hard to and it's not good for your phone, it can crash). So with a connecting cable, you can easily transfer books, music and more from your computer. For apple, the media has to be installed from the App store, not from online or from other sources.
For example, if I want to install a program from online, it will be denied on iPhone. On Galaxy Note 3, you can easily do so via APK files. This does mean you can PirateBay and get paid apps for free too. Android phones can also be emulated via your computer (extremely handy).
One last point, on Android you have so many browsers, email platforms/clients, camera apps, etc. Lets say I sent you an email with a link on it. On Note, you can open the link with any browser as long as you have it installed. You can even set it as default. On iOS, even if you have another browser installed, it will always open it with Safari. Then you'll have to copy the link from Safari and open the other browser and then paste it in. That's so unnecessary! You can't even change the default programs. Same goes with email clients, movie players, music players, etc.
Considering hardware as well, you get a better processor, more RAM, better camera with more features. iPhone 5S really does seem like a big loser.
All in all, if you can, definitely go for the Galaxy Note 3.
Android vs iOS war has come to an end already. It's pretty clear android won. So for software, Note 3 is better (android 4.2.2, upgradeable to android 4.3).
For hardware, considering specs, Note 3 comes with WAY better processor, ram, camera and more. Definitely Note 3.

WOAH!
Many people seem to fear the Note/Mega's size. Samsung phones can reach up to 6.3 inches (mega 6.3)! I promise you'll get use to it. In the end, you'll see the Note as a normal sized phone and you'll see other phones as really small!
Good luck choosing,
Mike
samsung wave 2 or samsung galaxy mini, which is the better phone?
Q.
A. The Samsung S5570 Galaxy Mini has a well proportioned touchscreen and compact body shape measurement with high 11.04cm 6.08cm wide and 1.21cm deep, allowing the user to hold and use the Mini Galaxy S5570 in a single hand. A 3.1-inch touch screen offers easy to use touch-screen controls and a beautiful colorful look. This screen supports an auto rotate feature that the user handset between their horizontal and vertical mode and the screens turn will react to the movements of the possible. The case weighs one hundred and five grams with rechargeable battery fitted which feels good to hold when in use. The Galaxy Mini Samsung has a very Corby-like appearance with a very compact design.
