A. The samsung galaxy player is much faster than the iPod touch because of it's 1ghz processor compared to the iPod touches 800mhz processor, it has much much better sound quality with virtual surround sound sound speakers, and 3times the gpu performance of the iPod touch/iPhone 4.....it ha twice the ram aswell and wile the iPod touch has more apps the galaxyplayer has more games and a much better overal gaming experience, you'll generally find the android apps in the android market to be more useful and most of of them are free compared to the iOS apps(250,000 apps/350,000apps).... The device is very future proof because of it's ram and processor and graphics power so u can't go wrong with it.

A. U know Samsung and apple is one of the best co. in the world
Samsung > Galaxy Player ( only 1 model )
Apple > Ipod ( more than 3 models )
both have almost same features. But u don'tt have to compare it with iPod touch 3g coz ipod touch 3g is old. ( old Features only )
Both have WIFI , App Store , battery life, etc.......
But App store (IOS) is the best app store in the world. All heavy apps like GTA CTW, GTA III, Splinter Cell, are firstly announced to appstore (IOS) coz Apple's processing is so HEAVY (galaxy is also not bad )

Ipod Touch 5 vs. Samsung Galaxy Player 5.0?
Q. I'm looking for a good xmas present (for myself), and my parents aren't really willing to spend 300 bucks on a new Ipod Touch 5th gen, so my dad recommended the Galaxy Player 5.0. I have been a steady fan of Apple products for a long time, but maybe I'll try something new. Is the Player better than the Touch? (my parents don't want me ruining my eyes on apple's tiny screens) Also, I'm still a bit shaky on whether the android app store is better than the itunes store. I don't want something as big as a tablet, but not something too small either (it has to be portable and not awkward to take out in public). I spend most of my time surfing the web rather than playing games, but I would still like a five-star app collection. How much would the price for a brand new Player be? **Please include a list of pros/cons for each device so I can compare the two more easily.
Oh yeah, I forgot to add:
Music takes up about half of my life, so I'm wondering if the Galaxy Player can support/download mp3 files from a computer/laptop. (I'm not very "technologically savvy", considering my young age.)

64GB is 399$
samsung galaxy player 5 price:
8GB is 269$ but it can be up to 32GB with microsd card.
I think ipod touch is better and worth the price,but if you want a bigger screen go for ipad mini, the 16GB ipadmini is 329$
yes you can download songs,videos and transfer it to samsung galaxy player. And I suggest take a look at the kindle fire HD(under 300$) and google nexus 7 (199$ for the 16GB or if you by the 32 GB then it will cost 249$) and very good for their price.go to the link:
