i don't want to have to sync it with itunes, or some other program, in order to transfer files and apps. it would be much faster and simpler (for ipods and iphones as well) if i could just drag and drop a single file, in the same way an external hard drive works.
A. Why exactly would you want to use your iPad as an external hard drive when you can only get 16, 32, or 64GB of storage at the most? For that amount of storage just get a USB memstick. It'll cost you less and is easier to transport.

Q. I am seriously considering buying an Ipad 2 this weeked. But before i do, I have a few questions.
1) is there anyway i can print files?
2) if i cant print files, can i send them to my home computer and print them out there? forexample send a file through hotmail?
3) can i download anything i want? for example can i still download movies using torrentz and what not? can i download a VLC player?
4) overall, do you think the Ipad 2 is a good product to buy? Id be looking at the 32G
5) is there anyway to get external storage? If i have a lot of documents for university, it might fill up fast
