A. the samsung galaxy player 4.0 is better than the samsung galaxy player 4.2. the samsung galaxy player 4.0 has the samsung exynos 3110 (hummingbird) the samsung galaxy player 4.2 has the OMAP 3. the samsung hummingbird has 3x the gpu performance of the omap 3. so games and graphics in general are much better on the samsung galaxy player 4.0. the camera on the samsung galaxy player 4.0 is a 3.2 mp auto focus camera with hq video recording. the samsung galaxy player 4.2 has a 2mp fixed focus camera with vga video. he samsung galaxy player 4.0 has 5.55 gb of memory availiable for use out of 8 gb. the samsung galaxy player 4.2 only has 4.6 gb availiable out of 8 gb. the samsung galaxy player 4.0 is a more powerful more capable device.

WHAT ARE THE PROS AND CONS OF BUYING A SAMSUNG GALAXY 2?
Q. I USED TO HAVE AN IPHONE. BUT IT STOPPED CHARGING AFTER A YEAR. SO I REPLACED IT WITH A SAMSUNG TRANSFORM. .. I HATE IT! ITS PROCESSOR IS SLOW.
I AM RETURNING IT TO GET A NEW PHONE AND WAS LOOKING INTO THE SAMSUNG GALAXY 2
IS THIS PHONE FAST? HOW IS THE FACE TIME LIKE APP?? IS IT CHOPPY?
MY TRANSFORM CANT EVEN DOWNLOAD ANGRY BIRDS OR OTHER APPS WITHOUT CRASHING OR EVEN COMING UP BLANK SCREEN... IT SUCKS. SO WILLING TO SHOVEL OUT AN EXTRA FEW DOLLARS FOR A NICER PHONE
A. Samsung Galaxy S II is a very reliable phone. It showed great results in the quadrant benchmark test (one of the best phones). I could use it for some time and I was very impressed. I compared it with HTC Sensation and iPhone 4 and the Samsung was way better in any aspect. If you are looking for a fast phone that does not lag or block your choice should be the Samsung Galaxy S II. The touchscreen is accurate and displaying of colors and motions is just great. I would recommend it to you if you're thinking of an upgrade of your phone.
Another option is the new Samsung Galaxy Note which is the best phone that Samsung ever made. It has even a better processor (1.4MHz Dual core), a bigger screen (5.3 inch) and the screen is the first HD screen ever. Not only the resolution is a big deal because the colors are more natural and lively then on the Samsung Galaxy S II. It is a great phone on a higher level.
But if you are strictly looking for Samsung Galaxy S II - I would say take your money and buy it. It is worth the price.
