Q. I'm thinking of getting the Samsung galaxy player, but I can't seem to find out some important (to me) details about it. mainly, do I HAVE to use Vies to transfer mp3s/data etc to the player, or is it possible to just use windows explorer, or windows media player?
also, does the Samsung galaxy player work out of the box? or do I have to go through a lengthy process of "registering" it like you have to do with Ipod touch in Itunes.
A. Since it runs Android. it requires no computers for setup. Additionally, the Galaxy Player seems to support WMP for media syncing.

Q. I've been seeing great reviews on the Samsung Galaxy player and I've been debating whether or not I should purchase it. It does seem like a great buy! I really like how you don't need a phone contract to access all the fun stuff it comes with, but I'm wondering if you could still use your own SIM card from your other phone on this gadget?
Or is it strictly JUST mp3 player, video player etc.?
A. It does not have the proper chipset in order to be a mobile telecommunications device.
In other words, it's strictly just a media player, internet browser under WiFi, et cetera.

A. Yes you can do that. you dont have to have an unlocked phone. Samsung provides pc suite called kies do install on your pc. Now with galaxy s2 samsung have provided a new feature called kies air, you can synchronise or play music over wifi between your pc and phone. awesome feature it is. and galaxy s2 is an awesome phone obviously. I am using galaxy s2.
