Q. I just received the phone. Im reading the manual page after page about the battery with magnifying glass. Is this a spare battery or is this the one that goes in the phone now? I never work on these phones because I have had my work phone for years and someone else takes care of this.
How does the battery get in the phone? Ok I see no seam to get in. I dont want to break this phone and I have my magnifying glass out reading the manual. My other old piece of crap phone is easy.
I did go on Samsung website about this question and I dont have the answer.
Ok I want to charge the phone NOW and I am so EXCITED about the new phone I'm being impatient!!! LOL
If this were my work phone I would be prying the hell out of it and figure this out myself. But this is my new baby...
Thanks Steven...I am just afraid of breaking it....I am looking. Ok It is not giving way it wont budge...Thats why i thought i was in the wrong place.... I will call samsung.
Samsung feels my phone is defective. So I wasn't crazy after all. Lol
My electrician was here today doing work and I asked him to help me- he handed the phone back to me and said he's not sure why the back wont open. so this is resolved. Thanks and I will send for another phone.
A. There should be at the top or bottom a place for you finger nail so you can life the back cover. The battery has arrows to show where to insert it.
My Data plan doesn't work on Samsung Galaxy S3?
Q. Well I switched my phone to a samsung galaxy s3 prepaid go phone at&t, and i have the $50 plan, but my data usage doesn't work? It worked on my old phone but when i switched phones by changing sim cards, it wouldnt work i'd have to use public wifi, somone help?
A. "My Data plan doesn't work on Samsung Galaxy S3?"
My guess and it would be wrong is that you are NOT paying the minimum wage
My answer is that the SGS III is NOT an AT&T handset (covering bases) OR that there has been a factory reset
"Same / similar" the INTERNET SETTINGS on the SGS III are set to the Original network (if an unlocked phone) or missing due to a factory reset
Call up the Network and request they send you the INTERNET SETTINGS, this will be sent as a text message which you then save ( it does say "save" etc)
Either or situation,
If there are INTERNET SETTINGS for the previous network ALREADY already on the phone you change it to AT&T####
Or if due to a factory reset there are NO INTERNET SETTINGS the AT&T INTERNET SETTINGS become the default and the internet will work straight away as it NOW the default with the CORRECT sim card
***Sim card & INTERNET SETTINGS {IS} in an unlocked phone must match AT&T simcard AT&T {IS}
typical route to change
### settings/ more settings/ Mobile networks/ Access Point Name [APN] and it will be pointing to XYZ
Ater AT&T send their {IS} will you be able to change, HOWEVER when you save it when the text arrives it may? ask you at that time to make this the default, if it does and you did , I typed this for nothing. If option not given you change it to AT&T
Samsung galaxy note 10.1 not charging properly?
Q. I used to get home at 4:pm when my tablet is on 15% battery life and be able to charge it while using it at full brightness and while i used it, it would continue to charge. But now when i use it even on power saver mode with the brightness almost all the way down. It is incredibly slowly losing charge. I haven't dropped it or anything, does anyone know what's wrong?
A. While I can't solve your problem over the Internet, I can give you some troubleshooting steps and some possible advice. We encounter this problem a lot at Geek Squad.
The majority of the issues we see with charging is due to the Client not using an Official Samsung charger and data cable. There are known charging issues when a non Samsung branded brick and cord is used due to different voltages that can vary.
The issue may also be related to apps you are using. For instance, there is an app called GroupMe on Android based devices. A new update to the app caused Samsung Galaxy S III phones to lose battery life at an alarming rate. Check to make sure your apps are fully updated and consider removing some non essential apps to troubleshoot.
It's possible that a full factory reset would be the best bet to determine if an app is to blame.
If after all of this, you still have issues with battery life and charging, you might have a hardware problem on your hands. Usually hardware issues are due to the charging port / motherboard inside the tablet. These are usually covered under Manufacturer Warranty as long as there isn't damage to the tablet. In the event you suspect hardware damage, contact Samsung or take it to the place you bought it from if it's under a year old.
Hope this helps.
