Q. I'm in the market for a new phone and have been looking for information about these two phones. My current phone is a POS, and I need something that is reliable and has a good battery life. Obviously, I also want to enjoy the typical apps that people enjoy. I just need to know, in someone's personal opinion, if either of these phones is just a disappointment, POS, hype, or if either is beyond expectations and wonderful.
Can anyone give any information about either of these phones that relates to a personal experience with them? I need help from someone who actually knows about these phones, not just internet info (if at all possible).
If you have other phone suggestions, I'm open; however, I go through US Cellular and have no desire to change companies, so I know I am limited. No iPhone for me.
A. Well, since you're in a US based company, the Galaxy Note II has a quad core processor while the US Galaxy S III has a dual core processor (just means that the Note II can compute processes more efficient than the Galaxy S III). Both phones are absolutely fantastic.
As stated by the person before me, the Galaxy S III is more pocketable because of the smaller display size (both still use Super AMOLED HD displays). However, the Galaxy Note II has more features thanks to the stylus/S-Pen (what Samsung calls the stylus). However, the Note II has more camera features than the S III does. If you want good battery life, either phone will do you good (The S III takes forever for me to discharge completely and the Note II is pretty much the same).
Both phones are pretty much the same other than the processor differences (in US). The Note II's massive display makes watching videos extremely beautiful and the S III is almost the same quality (just the pentile matrix holds it back just a bit).
But trust me, these phones aren't called the best for a reason. It's not all hype and Samsung actually delivered the goods for the most part. Hope this helped.
Should I get a Samsung Galaxy S4 or Note II?
Q. I've had an iPhone for the past 2-3 years and lately it's been having a lot of lag problems and apps crashing, plus the screen isn't doing too good either. And I'm also quite bored with iOS. I've decided it's time for a change and have been debating on getting either the S4 or Note 2, but I can't seem to decide between them because they both seem like such great phones. I've done a crap ton of research and comparisons but they didn't really help me make my decision that much.
To clarify a little bit more, I use my phone primarily for web browsing and social media, emails, a music player, an e-reader, and occasional gaming. Which do you think out of these two phones suit my needs better?
P.S. an iPhone 5 is not an option, mind you. No "neither" answers, please, just out of these two. Thanks.
A. Hi. I suggest you read this Review from an actual user of Galaxy S4, s3, Note and iPhone, should help you out on which one to buy:

Galaxy S4 has:
- 1080p Full HD screen @441PPI (vs 720p screen @267PPI)
- Gorilla glass 3
- 13MP Camera
- Dual Shot and video video recording
- Wireless charging
The screen quality makes a pretty big difference between these two.
At most of the other places the Galaxy Note 2 is pretty similar to Galaxy S4
Samsung Galaxy Note vs Note II?
Q. I recently completely ruined my iPhone via water damage but can still sell it for a decent amount. That being said, I'm looking for a new phone but have to go the 'without contract' route since I'm only half way through my current contract. I was looking to branch away from apple now that I've been given the opportunity.
I can buy the original note for very cheap (maybe even profit from the cash made selling the broken iPhone), but is it worth it since it has a newer version? I'm pretty new to the android side of things... I saw that it can be updated to Jellybean but it's had problems... is this something not worth dealing with or does open source allow for this type of thing not to be a problem. I also heard a note III is on it's way. I would love to buy the Note 1 to save on money but will skip it if it's going to be a problem updating etc. Thoughts?
A. Definitely the Galaxy Note 2. Everything is upgraded and newer version has few bugs removed from Galaxy Note.
Best review comparison between Note 2 and 1 from an actual user, would definitely help you out on this decision:
