Q. I'm getting an iPad 2 for Christmas and I'm really excited haha. But I want a really cool case that will protect it. I really like neon colors, but I don't want the smart cover because it doesn't look like it would offer much protection if I dropped the iPad. So like I said, I want neon colors, good protection, and I think it would be pretty cool to have one of those fold-able cases with a built in keyboard. Preferably made of something like leather or rubber, not a hard plastic clamshell. Thanks!

A. I run a website all about iPad bags and cases, I literally have reviewed hundreds of them. The one I love and currently use is the Speck PixelSkin HD. It's a thin case with a good grip, easy to hold with the cover flap folded back, and it props up for media viewing just like a smart cover would. It's durable and reasonably priced. A. The new iPad is .6 mm thicker than the iPad 2. If the case is soft, it will fit. If its a hard shell case, it probably won't, the smart cover still fits and works on the new iPad.
