How to use the Samsung Admire accessory hook?
Q. It is labeled #1 in the SIDE VIEW of this pic from the owner's manual;

It is a tiny hole in the side of the phone and does not look like any "accessory hook" I have ever seen, I cannot understand how to attach a strap to this phone, I assume this is the purpose of the accessory hook, but IDK, I cannot figure out how it works, how to attach any kind of lanyard or accessory to this tiny hole, I see no bar or anything in there that you would tie a small piece of wire to or whatever. How to use it, and what is it for?

Put the string inside WHERE? IT is just a tiny HOLE only.. there is no crossbar or anything to loop a string around.. I have had all my other phones in the past those had some kind of separator in the hole so you could wrap the string around something and then pull the lanyard back thru the loop.. but this is just a hole. THere is nothing to make the string go in and then come back out. If I push the string in there, it is just gonna hit the bottom of the hole, and then what? no way to loop it around anything.
Thanks for trying to help me with your answer.. I really sincerely appreciate your time and effort. but I still dont understand how to use this tiny hole as an accessory attachment point. :-(

A. You have to put the string inside. Its already a loop, then put the accessory into the loop and pull.

Camcorder accessories - lens and filter size?
Q. I have a Samsung HMX-H200 and I want to buy some accessories.
My main question is, if the specs of the camcorder says it has a 37mm wide angle lens does that mean that I can look for ANY filter or lens that is 37mm?
Reason for asking is there are products that are for the Samsung HMX Series and I thought that I only should/have to buy those types or they won't fit at all. The selection is limited. If I could buy ANYTHING that's not specific to Samsung HMX Series then I believe my choices of accessories would widen greatly.

So does that mean I could buy ANY accessories as long as it's 34mm and not just Samsung specific? I think it would be obvious that I can, I just want to make sure.

A. Samsung HMX-H200 has a 34mm filter diameter thread. this is the size accessories you need.
the 37mm is salesman speak meaning it has the equivalent field of view that a 37mm focal length lens would have on a 35mm film camera. the actual lens has a 3.2 to 64mm 20x zoom focal length and a 1/4th inch size CCD sensor.
