Q. I want to setup a mobile editing rig for a new film im working on, this involves attaching an ipad 2, a Lumix G3 and a Shotgun Microphone all to one tripod, ive found an case for the ipad with two shoulder
mounts and a tripod attachment, but the Camera probably wont fit onto the top mount, any ideas as to what i could do?
A. Always have the microphone on a separate stand to avoid clunky noises touching the camera etc. Why does the iPad have to be very close to the camera? Surely a stool or table nearby would be better?
What's the difference between an iPad and a laptop?
Q. Just standard laptop, is there any difference between these and the iPad? Can you download films etc and play games on the iPad? Everything that you can do on a laptop? Thanks
A. uhh the difference between an iPad and a laptop is everything!
If we talk about hardware, an iPad is a tablet PC which operate by touching on the touch screen, and a laptop is operate by keyboard and mouse (mostly). Even the CPU is difference, while most computers use CPU from Intel Corp. (i.e. Core 2 Due, Core i7, etc.) an iPad use its own Apple A4 (Apple A5 CPU for iPad 2) from Apple Inc. The display size, peripherals that's why I said "everything".
An iPad runs iOS from Apple Inc. whereas a laptop may run Windows OS, Mac OS, Linux, or Chrome OS so they're really difference to each other.
You can download Video on an iPad but you have to use some of its services. There are games for iPad. However, on an iPad, you can't do everything that you can do on a laptop. All of your computer programs or games won't run on an iPad (simply, because of the difference OS the device run), but they have its own kind of program to run call "App" (stands for application). However, they're not as powerful as computer programs.
The advantage of using an iPad or any other tablet is portability.
I personally think an iPad (or other tablet) couldn't replace a traditional computer, anyway.
How come so many people dislike the new Apple iPad already?
Q. Do you own one? If so does it really suck? I have an iPhone now and will have the iPhone 4 this Thursday but I was interested in picking up an iPad but I hear it's nothing to scream about and to save my money because it's a bigger version of an iPhone. What's your take on it?? Thanks. ~Tommy
A. i dont have one but my friend does...he says that its not a as great compared to the iphone cuz he sees it as an extremely large version of the iphone w/o the use or availability of calling. another thing he said is that there is no stand to it so you always have to support it up with ur hand. its like a laptop w/o the cover to keep it from scratching and the stand to keep his hands from aching. he told me he think that its a cool but he wishes he saved up money for the iphone 4.
What keyboard should I get for my iPad?
Q. I have to use an iPad for school and it already comes with a case that doesn't have a keyboard. I want to still use the case that comes with (for it is very durable), but does anyone know of a good, cheap Bluetooth or plug in keyboard?
