Q. I'm trying to transfer images from my Samsung Galaxy S-somethingsomething to my computer by plugging my usb in, but when I plug it in (on my Macbook pro) nothing happens. Nothing pops up, I can't find it in finder, it's like it doesnt do anything. How can I put the photos on my computer using my usb. Please dont suggest email because surprise surprise that doesnt work either.
A. you need to mount the memory on the phone after you connect the cable...there is going to be a pop up on the phone itself, after you mount, you will get a popup from mac
you also should be able to send them via e-mail...no idea what you're doing wrong with that
also an easier way would be to download an app called "Cheetah Sync", then download the same app to your mac, and it can automatically transfer your files over your network after you set it up properly, which is rather easy
hope it helps
How can I print from android tablet to a USB shared printer?
Q. I have printers which are connected to my desktop which are shared across my network so I can print from any laptop I have or a friend's laptop. But I want to print documents from my Samsung Galaxy Tab to it. I also have a USB port on my tab (thru a cable). So is there a way or an app which can let me do that?
A. Thanks for your question.
There are applications that you can download from Google Play that will enable you to print via Wireless or Bluetooth (unfortunately not via USB).
1. PrinterShare Mobile Print
2. Cloud Print
3. HP ePrint (if your printer supports the ePrint feature.
I hope this helps.
You can access these applications from Google Play on your Samsung Galaxy Tablet PC.
How do I transfer photos from samsung galaxy indulge to pc?
Q. I've connected with usb cable to pc (windows xp) and downloaded the windows driver for Samsung device. No external drive device is showing up. I've put the phone in both USB storage mode and not. Please help
A. I don't have the Galaxy or any of those smart devices, but I have had several devices with sd cards that I successfully connected via computer. I have never needed a card reader.
The idea is that the phone will configure itself with the card as a mass storage device, turning the card into a sort of removable drive (actually that's exactly what it is). With the card in its slot on the phone, connect the computer to the phone using the cord.
Go into windows explorer (aka "my computer") and you should see the card among the various other drives and folders accessible to the computer.
The computer may not see the card as soon as you connect the cord. You may have to go into settings and tools and look for an option called "USB Mass Storage" or MSC.
Once the card appears in windows explorer, you can copy your files to it as if you were moving files between folders on the HD.
Hope this helps.
How do you put photos from the samsung galaxy s2 onto a mac?
Q. I have an iPhone 4s and I'm thinking of getting the Samsung Galaxy S2. The only problem is, I have a macbook. How would you put the photos form the Samsung onto a mac?
A. Samsung provides a free program called Kies that is meant to be used to synchronized files (music, photos, etc) between your Galaxy S2 and your Macbook. If you don't have Kies installed, you can find it using the Play Store app (which is pre-installed). Youtube has all sort of tutorial videos to show you how to do it. The USB cable you use is the one that is connected to you charger. Just unplug it from your charger and plug it into a USB port on your Mac.

BTW, your phones should have Kier air preinstalled. It does the same thing as Kies, but over Wifi instead of a USB cable.
