Q. I was wondering which should I get? The ipad mini or the ipad 4? I know the retina feature is on the 4, but honestly with the cost of using a hotspot to download movies, I imagine this person will stay with blu rays. I do like the lower price and the features being similar.

A. Get the ipad 4 as it's much better. Retina display, better CPU, better gpu, more ram and larger screen.
Why did they release ipad 4 same year as they release the ipad 3?

A. Because there is literally no difference. And because they changed the naming system. See? It's not iPad 3 or iPad 4 anymore. It's just "New iPad". Now they can upgrade it whenever they want to, and upgrade whatever they want. It's not a yearly basis anymore. It's more on par with the Mac upgrade systems, which is just several small non-yearly updates instead of generation names.
