Q. I'm thinking of buying kindle keyboard just for the free web browsing. I'm not talking about free 3G for ordering new e-books. I just want to use 3G to check emails, search google, etc. Can you still use kindle keyboard for that? Please tell me the date when you last used the 3G feature (not counting ordering books). If amazon is planning to change this free 3G thing, please let me know too.
A. Yes you would be able to check mails and search google. The access to sites is limited so you may not go to sites which require flash to run.

A. I have one of these.
First, turn your wireless on.
Then in the Menu, choose Shop for Kindle.
It'll take you to a book store. Just navigate your way through to books you might be interested in. You can read reviews, the summary of the book. You can even download and read a sample by clicking on Download Sample.
When ready to buy, just click the big BUY button. Once you do, it'll download wirelessly to your Kindle in just a few seconds and you can start reading.
You can also shop thru your computer on Amazon.com, and when buying the book, just choose Send to Kindle.

A. You should get the "Kindle Lighted Leather Cover" as it comes with the light too and is very tough to get your Kindle keyboard in trouble...
