Q. I am getting the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7-inch for Christmas. I don't usually drop my electronics, but my Otterbox Commuter saved my iPhone a couple times. Do I really need a case, or is the Galaxy Tab fairly durable? It seemed to hold up fairly well in drop tests.
A. Yeah, It would be a great idea to have a case when you carry your tablet around!
I'm looking for a folding keyboard case WITH A TRACKPAD for my samsung galaxy tab 7?
Q. It just needs to house a 7 inch tablet, not be specifically for the galaxy tab. I have found several without a trackpad. I am looking for something like this: http://www.digitaltek.co.nz/categories/android-tablets-accessori/7-inch-keyboard-mouse-leather-case
Preferably wireless
Thank you
A. Why would you need a trackpad when the tablet is a touchscreen, essentially a very large trackpad?
Which one I should select, Galaxy Tab 7" or Google Nexus 7" ?
Q. I'm going to buy a small tablet in a few days, and I'm still dilemma of making choices.
I was going to run for a cheap low end tablet that has good review like Nexus 7 (around $200). But the problem is Nexus 7 doesn't have 2 things that I really need:
- dual camera
- expandable memory card slot
And then my sister suggest me to buy a somewhat more premium tablet Samsung Galaxy Tab 7" (around $250), which is indeed has those two things. But isn't that Tab 7 has already a little "out of date" ? I mean, it has been around for a while, and I'm afraid that, despite it has dual camera and memory card slot, it will lack in other areas such as display quality, processor (I heard that nexus sports a fantastic processor despite being a low end tablet), and not to mention that it has a smaller internal memory (8GB vs nexus starting from 16GB). But it can be expanded, so it's not much of a downside.
I will mainly use the tablet for taking notes, browse website, showing client gallery about my works, playing games, and then to smaller extend, watching videos. sometimes I need to use video call. which is why I need dual camera.
Can you suggest me which tab I should select, galaxy tab or google nexus? Or maybe you have a better option for me for tablet 7" with price ranged from USD 150-250? Thank you very much. :)
A. Depends what you are going to use it for. If you plan on doing some heavy hands on stuffs or will be using it all the time, the Galaxy Tab will do. Why? Because its built with more features and better build quality (Korean made= Higher standards).
The nexus 7 is alright but it does has its limitations like it has back camera, 16GB model does not have a expandable memory slot etc. I went around and looked for some info on youtube for my nexus 7 and found that it the screen isn't as durable as the other tabs out there. Drop tests suggests that when the tab is droped on the corners at a reasonably distance, there is a chance that the screen can crack or pop out. But those are . . .somewhat fixable with careful hands and a casing.
