Q. I have owned a Blackberry and I absolutely loved it. I am eligible for a new phone in about a week and don't know if I should get another Blackberry or an Android phone.
I have US Cellular so basically I'm between the Samsung Galaxy S Mesmerize (which is the same as a Samsung Fascinate on Verizon) and a Blackberry Curve or Tour.
A. i definitely prefer fascinate--
it has better screen resolution, more memory capacity, 3G, better camera, better processor ie 1GHz, powerful battery and most importantly android os. Android is future, don't afraid to go for android it is better than blackberry os.
How can i delete pre-loaded apps on Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate?
Q. So my phone has 3 pages of apps pre-loaded... 1 page=16 apps...so how do i delete them, it annoying bc it runs down my battery... and i dont use but like 5 of them!
A. The only way you'd be able to get access to delete those is to get into the deeper system files, meaning you'd have to jailbreak your phone. However, even then, some phones don't allow you to delete even when jail-broken. Both I and my parents have a Samsung Galaxy S Captivate, and neither the people at AT&T, nor jail-breaking, could get rid of them; however, a friend of mine has another phone (sorry, but I don't recall what it is) and he was able to delete his. So, it's all a personal choice. To jailbreak and find out, or to not and just deal with them. Good luck, hope you get it worked out.
Want a droid phone, is Motorola or Samsung a better quality?
Q. Need to switch from AT&T to Verizon (tired of dropped calls), and want one of those Droid Smartphones, is Motorola or the Samsung a better buy?
I've heard the battery life drains quickly, is that true?
A. Androids are great.
Battery life on all smart phones are crap, dont expect to get more than a day (~24 hrs) of moderate use out of your phone
I will tell you the pros and cons of both manufactures, I have owned the Galaxy S, Fascinate and Epic from Samsung and owned the Droid X, Droid Incredible and moto spice from motorola.
So 3 androids from each manufacturer.
Motorola:
PROS:
Better Reception/Radio FOR SURE
Good build quality
Cons:
Bad Screen Quality
Dust under screen is common
Low support for phone operating system upgrades (normally only upgrade the very popular phones)
Samsung: High quality displays on almost all devices (SuperAMOLED and Guerilla glass often)
Great look
Great touch screens
Lots of upgrades/updates
Cons: very plastic feel
not great signal
very heavy squarish
At the end of the day I would go with Samsung over Motorola, but HTC over both.
