I'm thinking of getting my wife an ipad for xmas. she always makes calls outside the US using skype (because its cheapest), and that it might be more convenient to carry an ipad instead of a laptop. If so, could you tell me how you used it? (IE what mic did you use? A bluetooth? the internal mic?) and how did it work out for you? Whats the best way to use it.
A. I use Skype on my iPod Touch with the Apple earbuds with the built in mic and it works fine. I don't know about the iPad, but it should be the same.

A. Yes you can as long as the connection fits... you know the piece at the end of the earbud wire that goes into the phone... sooo yes you can use it but somethings might be limited... The earbuds will work ... but the mic may not work and if it has volume control also might be limited... if your lucky all will work.. lol just try it

Q. What I mean is, does it have a jack that I can plug into an MP3 player or an iPad? You know, the kind of common jack you find on the end of most headphones or earbuds. I don't know what it's called, but I'd like to know before I buy a $200 speaker system and find out I can't use it.
A. M advice would be to take the MP3 player and ipad to see if it does. It may or may not, Bose is not an open source system. I would think you can plug into the aux input on the volume dial and all is well, that is how it should be. Save yourself the headache and go through the trouble of connecting the devices and see for yourself. That would be your best bet.
