I've been doing some research on how to unlock the Samsung Galaxy Gio phone for free. I was wondering if anyone has had any experiences with which programs are legit or not. I've heard about this apk phone that like bricks your phone so I do not want to use that program for sure.

Yeah, I just realized that there were two versions of the Epic. I thought it was just gonna be one phone that can do both CDMA and GSM, but thanks for the answers guys!
A. Metro uses CDMA so an unlocked Galaxy S2 would do you no good because it is a GSM device.
The Sprint Galaxy S2 (CDMA) does not have a SIM card so it cannot be unlocked but it may be possible to have it flashed for use on Metro.
