Q. Do you have any tips on what I can use to keep my Kindle safe? I seriously don't want to buy a cover for my kindle that cost $40.
A. You can get neoprene sleeves pretty cheap. Check amazon.com and ebay for sleeves and covers.
Also you can make a cover yourself or buy one from a crafter. Someone is making me a custom cover for my Sony for 15 bucks. Check etsy.com as well.
Ladies, what type of bag do you carry your Kindle or IPad in?
Q. I received my first Kindle for Christmas last year and I want to start using it BUT I carry a satchel or cross body bag to work with me everyday and it won't fit in there. I don't want to carry something that's too bulky. Any suggestions?
A. I have a sleeve for my Nook and then I put it in a bag, I usually just put it in whatever purse I'm using that day. You could easily just take a few things out of your cross bag and the maybe it would fit.
is the kindle case meant to bend all the way back?
Q. Okay so I have a Kindle 3Case with the light. I know that you can hold the case like a book but I dont know if it will break I bend it all the way back and put the strap around it to hold it down. How fo you hold your Kindle in the case?
It is the official lighted case from Amazon.
A. That depends on the type of case you get, but if you're talking about the official leather one, I think it is okay. They show a lot of people doing just that in the pictures on Amazon, anyway. Here, for example: http://g-ecx.images-amazon.com/images/G/01/kindle/shasta/covers/images/cover_lighted_handheld.jpg
If it is the official lighted case, then yes, it should be fine. (I assume Amazon wouldn't encourage practices that would break their products in their photos.) Though I don't have one of the official cases myself. (I have a Kindle, but I got one of the cheaper sleeves that some other company was selling instead, to keep it clean and whatnot when I'm not using it.)
