Q. I recently got the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini and downloaded Handcent SMS app. But after reading a message I received, there's still a notification at the message icon. It's quite annoying and I was wondering how can I get rid of it? Btw, I don't want to keep opening each individual txt so the notification would go away.
Thanks!
A. If your s3 have jelly bean version then there is option of blocking mode in the notification tray options like::wifi,power saving, mobile data, blocking mode.
Or switch on blocking mode from setting which allows you to enable options to turn off all types of notifications & incoming calls with time perid or unlimited option.
If your device is not updated and still running on ics,,,update it via settings(about device).
It is better to switch on blocking mode from settings to enable options.
Is it worth getting a screen protector for my samsung galaxy s3 mini?
Q. I was considering buying a pack of screen protectors for my galaxy S3 mini, but when I read the reviews for some of them people complained about them not sticking or looking dirty etc, I need easy to apply, cheap-ish ones as I dont have much money so would it be worth buying at all? Or would I be alright without? I want one because I'm quite clumsy and haven't treated my previous phones well, so I want this one to stay looking nice and not get scratched. If anyone has any they could recommend that would be great :) thanks!
A. Screen Protectors work quite. I bought one the first week I got my Galaxy Note 2 back in January. I noticed that they come in various price ranges. My Carrier wanted to charge over $30. I saw Best Buy sold them for about $25. I ended up getting my from Fry's Electronics for about $7.
They all have the same concept when applying them. You must remember to FIRST clean the surface of your phone of all dirt AND lint. Make sure your hands are properly washed and dried. Oh, most people don't realize this until it's too late... but... when you remove it from the package, Screen Protectors have two sides you must peel off.... It will be labeled on the product... but the first or bottom layer... you peel it off and lay it on top of your phone while aligning it correctly.. That is probably the most difficult part. Once you do that... you then peel off the top layer of the Protector and your phone is ready. It should come with a cardboard that you use to smooth out the air bubbles... and even if you have a few bubbles ... you can lift up an edge and lay it back down to help get those bubbles out.
What ever you do... DO NOT drop the screen protector or lie it down on any surface... if that happens... you will NEVER be able to get the dust or lint off of it and you'll have to buy another one.
The best prices are found online... like on Newegg.com or Amazon
Has anyone ever used an iTunes card on their Samsung Galaxy?
Q. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy s3 mini, and there are a few apps I'd like to download to it. One of my friends suggested buying an iTunes card and paying for the apps through the code given. I'm not sure about that though.
Has anyone tried it before? What was your experience?
A. Ummm...you can't use itunes on an android device. You'd want a google play gift card. iTunes gift cards only work on devices that use itunes: iphone, ipod, ipad, mac etc.
