A. Actually you don't need to do anything except to pop in your SIM from your ZTE Merit and into the Captivate S. You may have to enter the APN settings but it should already have the AT&T APN settings in the Captivate already if it was previously used on AT&T.

A. they should have some sort of trade in program.. but they are going to shaft you with the price... probably better off trying to sell your phone on the free market, will get a better price, craigslist, ebay or amazon..
