A. No, I do not believe it does. The kindle paperwhite and kindle fire are two toatlly different devices that have different functions and are different sizes different weights and have different screen sizes as well. They have other cases for the paperwhite, they probably aren't as protective as an otterbox but they're better than nothing. Look on amazon for the cases, I don't think they're sold in stores as of now. Good luck!

Q. The cheaper ones really pay for themselves because you can get anything in the public domain for free (like most of the classics).

OtterBoxes are good protection if your kids are rough on stuff.
A. I use a kindle touch 3g. It pays for its self with public domain books like you said, some good ones are The Sayings Of Confucius, The Art Of War, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Civil Disobedience. I like E-readers more because of the 1-3 month battery life, the paper display is easy to look at for long periods of times and are built to last. I would recommend Amazon products because of the large availability of apps and books for great prices.
I would like to add that most public domain books can be challenging to read since they are old and speak in fancy English.
Otterboxes have little to no screen protection and In My Opinion that's the most vulnerable spot. How old is the person you are thinking of buying it for?
Are there any pomo codes or coupons I can use on Amazon for the Kindle Fire HD or its accesories such as case?
Q. I want to buy a Kindle Fird HD (the 7" one) and I'm trying to get the best deal I possibly can. It is 200 dollars for the 16 gb 7" one on Amazon.com. The otterbox case is about 70 dollars and the faster charger is 9 dollars if bought with the kindle hd bundle (otherwise it's 20 dollars). All together its about 290 dollars. Are there any promotion codes I can use?

A. There's no promo code or coupons for Amazon now. From my experience, Amazon will have some promotion from time to time, and it'll show up directly on the sales page (even for any coupon code, they'll show directly on their product sales page).
When there's promotion, it's shown as an orange banner on the top of each Kindle model. Now I can see it's the lower price for Kindle Fire HD 32GB model:
