Q. I've decided to get a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition for Christmas. I'm using it to help out with school work. I think in some ways it would be better than having to spend a lot on a laptop. Are there any programs out there on the play store that can act as something like Microsoft word? Are there any programs I would be able to type essay's on?

I guess our requirements match here as I'm considering 10.1 2014 edition for educational purpose as stylus seems very convenient to take down notes in live lecture/rec lecture/ppt/pdf which can be run side by side under multi window facility. Polaris Office is a free built-in app provided by Samsung which fulfills function of MS Office, here our .doc/.docx/.ppt/.xls files can be read/write. If you are not well satisfied with Polaris Office then you can purchase similar productivity apps. Coming to typing matter you have various options like directly writing your essays in S.Note app if you are comfortable with stylus then note's hand writing recog software detects your every spelling and converts it into word file. Or you can you use on screen typing keyboard of various comfortable layout also you can buy typing software like SwiftKey keyboard. Or you can connect wireless bluetooth keyboard which can be used with laptop & tab also. Or you can use voice command to dictate out your essay. So suit yourself. All d best & have productive outcome of your investment as this tab is pretty costly itself but will surely last couple of years updates...
How do I tell when my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is charged?
Q. I just purchased a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet and plugged it in to charge. How do I know when it's charged? I don't see any lights at the present time, but will I see a green light somewhere to tell me it is charged? I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 phone and I get a green light when it's fully charged.
A. on the lock screen it will say charge complete or the battery icon will say 100%
No external LED lights on this one (other than the flash)
Is there an app that counts certain wifi networks as mobile usage?
Q. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 wifi-only tablet... I use a MiFi Mobile Hotspot when im not around other wifi.. I Want to be able to track my usage on that wifi network as mobile data, and I want it to count as wifi usage when im connected to any other wifi networks. Thanks!
A. idk about wifi usage but wifi maneger can find eny wifi and conect if it doesn't need a password.it will tell you the signal and if it is locked before so you can use the best one that isn't locked.
