Q.
A. It depends what you are planing to use it for. If it is going to be put in a bag a lot (hand bag, brief case etc.) I would suggest a leather one like this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-Galaxy-TAB-10-1-P5100/dp/B008O4IAL0
If you are leaving it around the house and don't need the extra protection a TPU case would be perfect:
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galaxy-GT-P5113-Rubberized-Protective/dp/B008ZLRAUY
It depends on your preferences I have a TPU but you may prefer the leather. But they are the two I would recommend. Make sure you get a premium leather one though because cheaper one are notorious for falling apart. Hope I helped.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.0 or 10.1?
Q. I am a freshman in medschool.
Be needing this tab mostly for reading and taking down notes.
8.0
Quadcore. My note2 is quadcore and drains a lot of battery so I hate it.
10.0
Dual core. Is it expected to have a longer battery life? Plus the size of the screen is bigger or too much?
I dont want to zoom in and out regularly or moving the page to read. I want the ebook to be read as is when I open it. But I dont know if this would be the case with 8.0.
Please help me decide. Thanks!!!
A. Galaxy Tab 2 would be the better option.. 10.1" screen makes a big difference also in reading so if the main purpose is reading then go for the galaxy tab
Hey.. quadcore processor does not means that it would drain battery faster.. It is mainly because of the screen and tha apps running continously plus if you have an email checker or anything else which is synchronized and supposed to check from net for updates time to time then the battery life is decreased only..
Galaxy tab 2 would be preferable option.
I suggest you read this Review on Galaxy Tab 2 vs Note 8, should help you out on this decision:

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 or Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1??? HELP?
Q. I'm going to be a freshmen in college this fall. And I really want a great reliable tablet (not an ipad). I saw the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and really liked it but then I realized the Note 10.1 is the one with the stylus and I can write. But I can get the Tab 10.1 and get a detachable keyboard, but It doesnt come with a stylus so I cant "write down notes" HELP!! Which one should I get!! I love them both but I really want a stylus and I really want a keyboard. Can the Note 10.1 have a keyboard attached?
A. Yes, the S Pen of Galaxy Note is the main difference, you can draw and drop notes with the stylus. The Galaxy Note has more powerful processor so you'll find it smoother when running heavy tasks. Here you can find a good comparison between the two:
http://budurl.com/GalaxyNoteOrTab
Let me give a more detailed comparison here.
Areas that the two tablets are the same / similar:
- Same resolution and pixel density (1280 x 800 149ppi)
- Same screen size (10.1")
- Same stereo speakers
- Similar weight (both around 1.3 pounds)
- Similar battery life (both around 8 hours)
The Galaxy Note 10.1" is more expensive, as it's a more advanced tablet compared to Galaxy Tab 2 10.1". Here are areas that the Galaxy Note is better:
- It comes with a stylus called S Pen, and it has a more sensitive touchscreen for drawing on it
- 1.4GHz Quad core processor (vs 1.0GHz Dual core processor on Tab 2)
- Better rear-facing camera (5MP with LED Flash light vs 3MP with no light)
- Better front-facing camera (1.9MP vs 0.3MP)
- More built-in RAM (2GB vs 1GB)
- Video out (HDMI out vs none)
So if you need the stylus for drawing and dropping notes then definitely get the Galaxy Note. If you don't need it, and you don't mind the slower performance of Galaxy Tab 2, then you can get it. And sure you can a bluetooth wireless keyboard for both devices. Try to look up for "Kensington bluetooth keyboard case" on Amazon, it's a good one.
