Can anyone explain me how can i connect my ipad(ipad1 - ios5.0) to an airprinter? i just bought an HP airprinter, but its not connecting(i do not kno much about these). does my ipad can connect directly to the printer without an access point(router)? or can it both connect directly(ipad to printer)? what app shud i use for this? pls help me
A. The printer needs to be connected to the same network being used by the iPad. When you go to Print a document from the iPad you should be able to select the printer to use. Apple has detailed guides...

A. Epson printers are not designed to be used with iPads. Printers need to receive the data in a format that they understand, and that usually requires specific drivers loaded onto computers in order to do that. However, HP has several printers that are made specifically to work with iPods & iPads.
Though you might have some other options. Check out the following links for some info that might work for you as one says you can also print using AirPrint to a non-wireless printer that is plugged into an Apple Airport Express via Ethernet.
