Q. How do you use speech to text? When I touch the mic button it says connection error.
A. turn your mobile data connection on. swipe from the top of the screen down and the menu will come up. it has 2 arrows for that particular item. Give it a few seconds and the mic should work
edit *when you swipe from the top of the screen towards the bottom, this should be what you see. The green selection on my pic is what you need to turn on in order for speech-to-text to work

LG Optimus Zip vs Samsung Galaxy Proclaim?
Q. I am currently with Alltel and have a "dumb" phone (a little blue sliding keyboard touch screen Samsung phone) that has seen better days. I am going to get a Straight Talk smart phone due to its affordability. I am wondering which is better though, the LG Optimus Zip or the Samsung Galaxy Proclaim. I have researched them both and they seem very comparable. Can someone give me the pros/cons of both phones or reasons to buy one over the other? I want good battery life (I would charge it every night), good speed, easy typing, etc... Also, does the Zip have a touchscreen keyboard as well as the sliding keyboard?

A. I think the Samsung galaxy proclaim because I have never had any issues with Samsung.
Can you use a Samsung galaxy s3 for the proclaim?
