A. get the nexus.
the galaxy is a nice device, but samsung really holds it back with their OS overlay, and lack of updates.
the nexus will be updated to the latest version of android for at least the next year and a half. it is super smooth and fast, has a great screen.
the only down side is the lack of a back side camera, and expandable storage. so as long as you are OK with those 2 things, the nexus is the way to go. if those are important to you, get the galaxy tab.

A. Samsung Galaxy is no longer the best. It's the Nexus 7 and the ASUS tablet now.
In my opinion the new Google Tablet blows away other tablets in the market when it comes to value for money. There's an actual user opinion here, for it to be compared with other tablets:

Nexus 7 tab or Samsung galaxy note 10.1?
Q. I am a film maker and I don't know which tablet would best suit my needs for things like script writing and playing my own videos. I want the tablet to carry around with me so I can write notes or add to my scripts wherever I am so I don't lose my ideas.
Also for my advanced statistics class I need to be able to make graphs and such.
ipads are out of the question. Never in my life has an apple product worked for me. they are always breaking and malfunctioning whenever I touch one so don't say, "just get an ipad" or else I will personally come to your house and knock over a vase or something.
