How To Take Camera Shutter Sound off Samsung Galaxy Rush.?
Q. Alright so I put the phone on vibrate/silent before taking a picture and the shutter sound still goes off. There's nothing in the camera settings to take away the sound neither soo I want to know how can I remove the shutter sound WITHOUT rooting the phone.
A. Sometimes, it simply isn't possible (yes, I agree that is stupid, but its true).
Other times it IS possible - in that case, reading the manual will tell you how to go about it.
If you lost the book, download a new one.
Just purchased Tasker for my samsung galaxy s3 and want to know how to set a profile for a specific time frame?
Q. I want to set a profile for my mobile data to automatically turn off Monday-Friday from the times 9 am till 5 pm and then at 5 pm turn back on. How is this done? Please give step by step instructions.
A. First I have Tasker version 4.1u3m for android 4.0 and above. If you have a different version, the steps might be slightly different.
1. Once you open tasker, press the middle tab labeled 'Tasks'
2. Press the plus sign at the bottom and it will make you name the task. While the name doesn't matter, I used the name "sleep" because I use this same profile from midnight to 6am.
3. You will then be taken to the task edit screen. Press the plus sign again and action category will come up. Select data, then net, then "Mobile data". The phone will then take you to a screen that gives you the choice to toggle on/off. Select off and then press the back button. This will take you to the task edit screen again.
4. Repeat step 3 for the wifi and (if you want) bluetooth. What you have done is told the phone what you want it to do, but now we have to tell when we want it to happen. If we don't tell it when, then it will never happen. Press the profile tab at the top of the screen.
5. Press the plus sign at the bottom. You will be given the choice of profiles, and you will select time. Select the start time and end time for this profile - in my case start at midnight, end at 6am. Press back to go to the profile screen. You can now select the task - sleep (or whatever). Then all you have to do is toggle the on/off switch on the right of the screen. You have now told tasker to turn off wifi and mobile data overnight.
6. Setting this up for work would be similar except after you set up the time in the profile you have to select days of the week in the same profile - otherwise it will be 7 days a week. Because you have to select certain days of the week you can't combine this with the sleep profile.
Notes - First, when tasker is done with a task, it puts things back the way it found it. For instance, if wi-fi is turned off at 11:59, it will not turn wi-fi on at 6:01. Second, sometimes if you try and change things mid profile, tasker gets real confused. If you wake up at 3 am and try and turn on wi-fi, tasker will try and keep it off. The second best solution is to turn off the profile in tasker, then reboot the phone, then turn on wi-fi in that order. The best solution is to make sure you're sure about the time you set it for. Finally, have fun with tasker. 98% of the stuff you can do with a GS3, you can do with an iPhone. The other 2% is stuff you can do with tasker. Have it read texts to you during rush hour. Have it automatically open angry birds when you get to your nephew's house. Have the phone display your ex-girlfriends name when the phone rings, but say "The b*tch is calling". There are limits to what this app can do, but I haven't discovered them yet (other than GPS, but that's another story).
