Q. I am upgrading my virgin mobile phone. I currenty have a LG Optimus Slider, which i paid $180 for a year ago. It is now $19.99. It went down from $120 then $50 & now $20. It was ok, but had issues. Like i couldn't watch some videos. I couldn't download adobe flash etc etc.
I have two phones in mind and need some advice. The one is the Samsung Reverb for $150 down from $200.
The second phone i am leaning towards is the HTC Evo V 4G for $190 down from $250. The main feature i like with this phone is the 4.3 inch screen. The reverb has a 4.0. I like both phones, but i watch alot of video. If you have either phone. Please let me know your expieriences. You can check out all the specs on virginmobile usa site. I would love to get the Samsung Galaxy II, but $300 plus is out of my price range. Besides for that i could get a iPhone. Since they dropped those prices too. I think i am one of the few people that aren't interested in the iPhone or iPad and think they are grossly over priced and over rated. I would much rather pick a phone or tablet with the features i want and not be told what is good for me or fashionable. Anyway, i would seriously appreciate any help.

PS The samsung has a 1.4 Ghz processor and the HTC has a 1.2 Ghz, i think. Not sure if they are both dual core. Does the faster processor make a difference since the HTC is 4G. I want to be able to watch movies on netflix where the words and their mouths are nsync. Also the samsung can use a 64 GB sd and the HTC only a 32GB i think. Please check out the specs online or on vm website. Thanks again.
A. It looks like you have done your homework quite well here.
There is not much of a performance difference between a 1.4 GHz process or a 1.2 GHz process, as there are other factors that tend to be the limiting factor for performance.
One big thing that catches my eye between those phones is battery life. The Samsung Reverb claims 7.5 hours of talk time, versus 6.0 hours for the HTC Evo 4G.
Back when I sold cell phones for Wal-Mart, I sold the HTC Evo 4G back when it was only available for Sprint, I got to play with it in an area with Sprint 3G (there is no Sprint 4G in North Dakota), and I was pleased with it's performance.
All told the main differences are screen and battery. I myself would rather go with a better battery spec, as I do not always have the ability to park my phone on a charger during the day.
Samsung galaxy reverb reviews ?
Q. So, I'm getting the Samsung galaxy reverb by virgin mobile for Christmas. And I've been looking up a lot if reviews. I'm trying to upgrade from my previous phone (the Samsung intercept) the intercept is a horrible phone. And I don't want to make the same mistake of picking out a terrible phone again. Please give me reviews ! (Preferably by reverb owners)
A. I've been using Virgin Mobile for years and let me tell you, a good majority of the phones they have that are unknown name brands are no good or defective. I had an HTC wildfire from VM and it had to be the worse phone ever. I recently changed phones and purchased the Reverb and it is Ah-Mazing! It is just like the S3 except it is not as flat and the battery cover on the phone is made of plastic so it will feel cheap. Great memory space, built in processor( so it functions fast like a computer) Battery life lasts no matter if you're playing a game, listening to music or texting all at the same time, Front facing camera (as well as back camera) Sound is superb. However if you have relatively small hands like me the phone may be hard to grip for it is bigger than what it appears in the pictures. But all in all it is a wonderful phone to have. Hope you find it to be great.
