Q. My phone contract is due for renewal soon along with a phone upgrade. I'm currently using a Samsung Tocco (the original not a Lite or Ultra). I'd love to upgrade to an iPhone 4 but the signal problem renders it useless as there is little signal available where I live in the first place!
So, I'm looking at either a Samsung Wave or a Galaxy S but I'm not sure which is better. I'd use it for;
Calling and texting
browsing Facebook
picking up emails
I'm not fussed about the camera, mp3 player etc and both have AMOLED screens.
So which would be better phone for what I need it for? - do both of them have onscreen QWERTY keypads and which is better for internet browsing? I know the wave uses BADA and the Galaxy uses Android but If i'm honest I have no idea about the differences between these.
And has anyone who has either of these phones had a problem with picking up signal like the iphone does? Finally - is there a big physical size difference between the two phones?
thanks
A. i think that samsung s8500 wave is a better choice, less money and it's what you need and more, little differences between the 2 phones.but if money is not a problem and you want more simpler design then the galaxy s is the one.
[Samsung Wave I S8500] or [Samsung Galaxy S I9000]?
Q. i am a Photo, movies, musics, and apps LOVER
With these 2 choices?
Which do you think i should buy?
A. The Samsung Galaxy S is the best smartphone i ever had.
The Galaxy S arrived perfectly packed on its case, and it was the best purchase I made in cell phones in a long time, The internet is full of customizations, Firmware changes for the international version, so it was easy to update the firmware to Froyo and even to load a customized Firmware by DARKY. Just spent some hours searching and studying how to do it, and voila, a brand new Galasy S International, unlocked with a customized Firmware, working perfectly in Brazil.
I highly recommend this Smartphone.
Which phone is better the SAMSUNG S8530 WAVE II or SAMSUNG I9100 GALAXY S II?
Q.
A. Well, hello again. The Samsung Galaxy S II will be the Samsung flagship phone for 2011. It is a lot better than the S8530 Wave. I will just give some of the most useful features of the Galaxy S II that makes it better than the S8530.
Galaxy S II has...
A bigger screen at 4.3 inches/ compared to S8530's 3.7
Super AMOLED Plus (uses less power, makes devices slimmer, has better sunlight legibility, viewing angles, contrast, and color rendition) is a looot better than Super Clear LCD (a little above average of normal LCD)
Gingerbread is a lot better than Bada 1.2, even after the update to make it v 2.0
A lot slimmer than the Wave at 8.5mm compared to 11.8mm
Bigger battery capacity at 1650mAh, compared to Wave's 1500mAh
Better camera at 8mp, Full HD, compared to Wave's 5mp, at only HD
GS 2 has Dual-core 1.2GHz ARM Cortex-A9 proccessor, Mali-400MP GPU, Orion chipset, compared to Wave's 1 GHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor, PowerVR SGX540 GPU, Hummingbird chipset (That just means that the GS2 is faster and better. The Super AMOLED Plus screen and bigger battery offsets the power hungrier processors.)
Lighter weight
But it will be a looot more expensive.
