Q. Hello there i have a question about the iPad mini 1st gen. I'm considering getting one, but fear that i wont be able to update it to ios 7, or the future ios 8. Does anybody know if it would be worth getting the 1st gen ipad mini.

The reason i'm wondering if i should get the 1st gen, is because money is limited for me and it takes a long time for me to earn it. And i'm 13 aswell and that doesn't really help either.
A. iPad Mini supports iOS 7 . In fact it Supports 7.0.4 which is the latest for iPads. And I`m not Sure about iOS 8 since it`s no released yet.
Yes it is Worth but it depends on what you want from It. If you want it for mainly Study then It is Fine also if you want it for small games and not THAT much Entertainment Than also Okay. But If you want it for EXTREME Games such as Infinity Blade, FIFA and for EXTREME entertainment such as Thousands of Songs then I think No. (Read below)
The iPad Mini is although Okay but there are a Few things which are not that likely.
First is Storage. Apple discontinued 32 & 64 GB iPad Mini so you will have to get 16 GB which is really less for Storage. I don`t Think you would be able to use Many apps due to this size.
Then the Specs.The New Processor is Far better. The new iPad Mini has A7 chip with 64-bit architecture and M7 motion coprocessor and the 1st Gen only A5 processor.
As for the Price the iPad Mini 2nd Gen is cheaper but the same as the iPad Air just small size so I think you should just get more $200 and you`re good to go.

Q. I was going to buy someone a iPad mini until I saw "rumors" that the iPad mini 2 will come out either April or November. The bad thing is that I want to buy them the iPad for their birthday. I don't want to give it to them if it comes in November...it makes no sense. I could give it a month late. Also how is this version of iPad mini is the screen bad at full brightness? Is it still a good product?
A. Ipad mini is a really good product because when you hold it in your hand you will feel amazing. If you are confused in ipad mini or ipad mini 2. then yes ipad mini 2 will be out in April but there will be really minor changes in design or working. If you are thinking that ipad mini 2 will make your ipad mini look older then you are wrong.
When you will see the performance of ipad mini and its configuration then definitely you will be impress because it got a great processor, it will not Disappoint you in any means( Graphics, performance, etc).
If you can't wait then obviously you can buy ipad mini no doubt. but if you are not in hurry then you can wait till April, but the date is still in doubt.
This is upto you if you want to wait you can wait but if you buy ipad mini this will also be a great option.

A. The iPad mini is good but not nearly as popular as the iPad. For that price, I would recommend the Blackberry Playbook 7-Inch Tablet, which has comparable features but half the price, they are both small and light and have pretty good cameras and resolutions. Also, the Playbook is a lot more popular than the mini, which is something I look for when it comes down to a measurement of reliability. You can look at the specs of both and compare. Personally, I like androids better than apple because you have a lot more options and you can do more on your own instead of having to pay extra or having to visit the apple stores.
