A. The Samsung Galaxy Tab retail price without a monthly contract is 599.99. It is very expensive. However there are certain cell phone carriers that will give you the Galaxy Tab for 399.99 as long as you commit to a 2 year data internet plan for your Galaxy Tab. The Galaxy Tab works on Wi-Fi and 3g data internet plan. Sprint, and Verizon have this promotion. It turns out if you went with a 2 year contract you end up paying more for the Galaxy Tab than just buying it without the contract.
As far as using your droid for tethering to your Galaxy Tab you can. However Verizon will charge you a extra $20 per month on your bill to use your droid as a hotspot for your other devices such as the Galaxy Tab.
Samsung announced that they will be coming out another version of Galaxy Tab with only the Wi-Fi and no 3G data internet sometime in April or May 2011.

Blackberry vs Samsung Galaxy?
Q. I've owned Samsung Galaxy smart phone for few months. great smart phone. I especially like the many free features the Android in it offer, like Playstore free applications, etc.
Never had BB phone. But love the feel and look of the new Z10 !
While I like to buy/own the new BB, one guy tells me that it doesn't have the same free features like Samsung phone. That there are limitation to texting messages! using Wahtsapp application etc.
Not sure what is the advantages/disadvantages of BB smart phone.
Could someone tell me, why I should stay with Samsung and not switch to Blackberry Z10. As I say, the Z10 is the best looking, design smart phone I have ever seen. But may be not very useful compared to Samsung Galaxy.

Anything less than a SGS II then you should trade up as you get 8MP 4G LTE 2Gb Ram

Buying a phone to get apps is horse before the card AFAIK, Whatsapp is available for BB Z10 and ONLY worse case scenario you lose one APP but research,check out the BB Z10 forum
The BB Z10 is the best Dual Core phone in this the Samsung Galaxy but IMO there is a good enough reason to upgrade, however for SGS II owners should continue their contract (as you only get 4G LTE, )
The final assessment is your as you would have to sell (old) and buy new BB Z10 if you feel the phone was not the best upgrade at the time
