Q. Ok so i am saving for a galaxy s and have so far earned around $340.00
Does anyone know anywhere that i cn get one on a plan for realy cheap e.g buy fone cheap for $200.00 and go on a $50 per month plan? I dnt want to pay any more than $60 per month and i dnt want to pay amymore than $300.00 for fone. And i live in auckland New Zealand

Which do you prefer samsung galaxy player or zune video mp3?

A. I would pick the Samsung Galaxy Player
- Different screen sizes to choose from. SGP 4.0, SGP 4.2 and SPG 5.0.
-a little Cheaper than the Ipod touch
- Bigger than the ipod touch
-You can buy a sd card to make the gb bigger from 8gb to 32gb.
- Lots of different apps, you can get from google play. Just like you can get from itunes for the ipod touch.
- camera and video.
- U can Play games on it.
- and lastly the most important U can listen to your favorite music.
The samsung galaxy player is technically a cheaper version of the ipod touch and the other difference is it's made by samsung. The only bad thing about it is it isn't as popular as the ipod touch. But I don't care about how popular something is just as long as it works good. ^-^
I don't know much about the Zune players but maybe someone else can tell you about them. :)
Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0 questions ?
Q. Okay, so this Christmas I got a Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0 or also known as YP-G1. My question is, you know on the home menu, theres this little bar that says google and then next to it is a microphone. If you click the microphone, you can speak to and it does whatever you want it to do. I saw the video that explains this feature, and i noticed that wen i said in the microphone ' send text to (whatever name) *PAUSE* I'll be there at 1pm. Please save a seat for me' The blank part was the send to. and i dont know wat to put on the 'send to blank'. is it a number ? a name ? why is there a texting option when the device is a mp3 ?
example:
Send to:
Message: I'll be there at 1pm. Please save a seat for me
SEND | CANCEL.
I dont know what to put on the send to line. but then again, this isnt a phone, its an mp3. so im confused why is there texting. pls hlp ? tnx so much and merry christmas !!!
also 1 more question pls. how can u donwload movies onto the galxy player? tnx so much
A. Good question. Actually your Samsung Galaxy Player is similar to the ipod touch. It has all the apps from the Google Marketplace. There are apps that will give you free unlimited texting any where in the United States and the app will give you a phone number so that other people can text message you. The only requirement is you need to be in a Wi-Fi hotspot location such as your home network (starbuck, mcdonalds, airports, certain restaurants) to be able to send and receive text message
The send to line is for a phone number field or a contact name if your contact has a phone number already.
Here are some good free texting apps. You can type the name of the app in the marketplace and download.

Another app I recommend is vlingo. vlingo will let you text from voice. So you can say text michael. And a text box will appear and you text click on the microphone and then say your message using your voice and it will type it out for you. Vlingo also does search for a business in your area like a store or your looking for or the nearest store location.
Movie files are a bit tricky. You have need to transfer the movie files to your samsung galaxy player. I would use a software called dropbox. You would create a account at dropbox.com using your computer. Then upload your movies files onto your account dropbox from your computer. Then download the dropbox app from the marketplace on your samsung galaxy player. Log into your account on dropbox using your galaxy player and you should see all your movie files there. Your movie files has to be AVI, MP4, 3GP, WMV, ASF, MKV, FLV files for them to play on your samsung galaxy player.
If you have already a netflix account, you can also download the netflix app and watch your movies on your samsung galaxy player as well.
