Q. I have the ipad av adapter but i run sound in my theater room through either optical or ryw cables. Is their anyway for the sound to go through the headphones cable or anyplace other than the hdmi?
A. once you connect the ipad hdmi adapter, sound will go through the hdmi port. maybe you can go with an audio amplifier to split the audio out. or connect your theater from TV audio output
can i view my ipad screen on my computer with a digital av adapter from apple?
Q. i know a VGA adapter can, but i only have an AV adapter and i need to see my ipad 2 screen on my computer monitor
A. in order to view any a/v input from ANY device your computer must have the correct adapter. if there is a VGA port on the computer, it is output only not input. if there is an hdmi, or dvi, same idea. the graphics card will be output only. now if you have a computer with a tuner card or a capture card, a a/v input can be viewed using the software that comes with those devices.
you will not be able to interact with the device via your computer, this will be a visual solution only.
if you are trying to use the ipad from the computer (controlling/viewing the screen etc), you'll need to jailbreak your device and install something from cydia, like vnc perhaps.
Trouble with my hdmi av adaptor and iPad ?
Q. Alright I just got this hdmi av adaptor for my iPad it works for videos but won't display my home screen or games, what's up with this.
A. The only thing the adapter will display is videos. It will also play music through your television, but it will not have any video. The only way to show your screen all the time, is to jailbreak your iPad. You can jailbreak through greenp0ison, redsn0w, etc. Then you get an app from Cydia called "TVOut2". When you have that app on, everything on your iPad will show on the screen.
