Q. Please list reasons on why which is better. Thanks.
A. Overall, the Samsung Galaxy S is better than the HTC Radar. I'll list some of the pros and cons of both.
If you access the web often, the Galaxy will be a better experience for you since it loads faster, on average. If you use navigation or maps, the Galaxy has better awareness and sensors in the phone (it has an integrated compass). The bad side of the Galaxy is that it's battery tends to run out quicker.
The Radar has better components for music and storage, so if you take pictures, download movies, etc, the Radar would be perfect for you. The screen is also sharper and brighter than the Galaxy. It also has a superb OS, one of the higher end ones out there. The bad side of the Radar is that there's not much customization and you can't remove the battery, which could be a handicap.
Samsung Galaxy S 4G battery life = Drained in a few hours.?
Q. Alright. I got this phone a few months ago and its used. It runs like its brand new, which is good in my terms. Only thing I noticed right away was the battery life. It drained within a few hours. maybe 2 if i'm using it a lot. I do the following to increase battery life:
-Reduce brightness
-Timer set to 15 seconds
-Blue tooth is off
-GPS is off
-I turned off my auto sync for my Google account on it since some of it was useless to me
-I uninstalled any apps I don't use or found useless to me now.
-deleted any old text messages logs or conversations.
-Stopped any running apps or programs
-I turn my wifi off when I'm not using it or going to make a call.
-When i work at times I will put it in flight mode but I'll just end up turning it off
And yet it still drains. So a few days ago I managed to get a new battery for it. I got the new battery yesterday and charged my battery in the phone when I got home from work. I noticed within half an hour it was already draining like it was with the previous battery. So I concluded "Okay, something in my phone is draining the battery life"
I go into my settings and see that the culprit was the "Mobile Logs'. Apparently 68% in use. So that's my killer culprit. How do I reduce this problem?
A. How often do you let your phone die? If you do this often you could have destroyed your battery. Phone Batteries are cheap you can find one at your phone store, flea markets, etc... You should also always let your phone charge full & never put it on & off the charger. Perhaps, Let of charge at night.
Samsung Galaxy S3Using battery?
Q. Hi I charged my samsung galaxy s3 to 100% and unplug it and did not touch it at all. After 9 hours my battery was at 73%. I head my 4G on and it said thAT 64% was used for Cell Redio. Is that okay?
A. That's normal. If your phone stays on standby mode which you did.
It still uses power it only doesn't use power if you turn it off. Just because it may not have the light screen on, it still has to sync your updates, service and connections. If you want it to last longer. I suggest you turn off things like bluetooth, Unused internet apps or Wifi if your not using it. The less Apps or sync the longer the battery will last.
